# SilentBox - Privacy Policy

## Overview

SilentBox is a notification management app that runs entirely on your device. Your privacy is our core principle.

## Data Collection

SilentBox collects NO data. The app does not have the android.permission.INTERNET permission in its manifest, which means it is physically incapable of sending any data over the network.

## Data Storage

All notification data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This includes:

• Notification content (sender, message text, timestamps)
• Your app preferences (ghost list, settings)
• OTP codes detected from notifications

This data never leaves your device. There is no cloud sync, no analytics, no telemetry, and no server.

## Permissions Used

• Notification Access (BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE): Required to read and manage your notifications. This is the core functionality of the app.
• Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Required to display the list of installed apps so you can choose which apps to ghost (silence).
• Biometric (USE_BIOMETRIC): Optional. Used only if you enable the biometric lock feature in Settings.

SilentBox does NOT request the INTERNET permission.

## Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have access to your data. Everything stays on your phone.

## Data Deletion

• Notifications older than 30 days are automatically deleted (except starred notifications).
• You can uninstall the app at any time to remove all stored data.

## Children’s Privacy

SilentBox does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

## Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
